Gold Medal

The AHDC Gold Medal recognises exceptional AHDC members who demonstrate visionary leadership, a commitment to excellence, and a significant contribution to the healthcare design industry. Nominees will be passionate about improving the environment for patients and staff, value innovation, and foster collaboration. They will serve as role models for future leaders while employing a respectful and ethical approach in everything they do.

Nominations open in May and close in July. Eligibility criteria are detailed in the application form.

Download the Application Form and follow the instructions for submission to nominate a colleague.

How do you prepare for a nomination?

When completing the nomination form, be sure to include specific examples that demonstrate how the nominee’s contributions have been truly outstanding. Rather than simply listing roles or positions held, highlight instances where the nominee has gone above and beyond what would typically be expected in similar roles. Take the time to reflect on why their service and achievements stand out, and why they are deserving of recognition through the AHDC Gold Medal Award.

How are nominees assessed?

As a first step, all applicants will be assessed towards the eligibility criteria as highlighted in Part A of this application form. Applications where the nominee or nominator do not meet the eligibility criteria will be discounted. All the applications of eligible nominees will be assessed and scored by each of the five judging committee members, against the following criteria:
