Webinar - Australian Healthcare Design on the Global Stage

(4:55 - 5:25pm AEST)

Following the AHDC Annual General Meeting, this webinar will showcase two award-winning Australian healthcare design projects recognised at the European Healthcare Design (EHD) Awards: the Design for Health and Life Sciences Award, won by Billard Leece Partnership (BLP), and the Design Research for Healthcare Award, won by Hassell.

The presenters will share a high-level reflection on their award-winning projects, exploring their journey, impact and significance, and what this international recognition means for their organisations and the broader Australian healthcare design community. The session will also provide insights into the EHD Awards experience and how Australian projects can contribute to and influence the future of healthcare design internationally. You will hear from:

Leanne Guy, Principal and Health Sector Leader, Hassell

Rebecca Yeo, Principal | Interior Design Lead, Billard Leece Partnership
Bettina Bartos, Principal | Science + Technology Sector Leader, Billard Leece Partnership

Through personal reflections and lessons learned, the presenters will highlight the ideas, approaches and innovations that helped their projects stand out on an international stage.

By the end of this presentation, you will:

  • Gain an overview of the award-winning projects and the outcomes they sought to achieve.
  • Hear first-hand reflections on what the EHD Awards recognition means for the project teams and organisations.
  • Explore how Australian healthcare design can contribute to international best practice and set new benchmarks.
  • Learn key insights and lessons from participating in the European Healthcare Design Awards.
  • Be inspired by the approaches, ideas and innovations behind two internationally recognised Australian projects.
