Join us on the Gold Coast Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit site visit to tour the new mental health facility located at the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) campus.
The Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (SMHRU) is a 40-bed, two-storey purpose-designed facility with an undercroft and linkway to the existing Mental Health (F Block) building. The new facility is planned to open in March 2025. It will provide a recovery-orientated, home-like environment for consumers experiencing severe and complex mental health disorders, boosting the number of mental health rehabilitation places in Southeast Queensland.
The facility was designed by ARCH and built by BESIX Watpac.
