Join AHDC’s newest networking subcommittee, Health Architecture & Design Network (HADN), for a night of conversations and mingling with your peers in the health architecture sector. HADN was formed by a diverse group of emerging health designers to support a growing network of young emerging advocates for the future of the health design sector.
Come and listen to our prominent guest speakers who will share with us their career retrospectives and answer any of your questions that you may have! We will be hosting a cross-studio format across Sydney and Melbourne with online access also available to you if you are unable to attend in-person. We welcome all early to mid-career health design professionals, whether you’re a student or Senior Associate.
Food and drink will be provided thanks to our event sponsors Architectus and Billard Leece Partnership (BLP).

Speakers Bio:
Tracy Lord - Principal and Health Lead, Billard Leece Partnership
Tracy Lord is a Principal and Health Lead at Billard Leece Partnership (BLP), one of Australia’s leading architecture firms and global experts in social infrastructure design. She is passionate about gender diversity and inclusive design, as well as creating healthier built spaces that improve people's lives — whether that be through designing hospitals, looking at the inclusion of health care within mixed use precincts or using biophilic principles to improve commercial and urban environments.
Tracy was delighted to recently have her White Paper on Design for Non-Binary Youth accepted for presentation in the Science Stream for Inclusivity at the UIA Copenhagen World Congress. Along with BLP Managing Director Tara Veldman, Tracy has been appointed co-chair as Australia’s representative to the UIA Public Health Work Program. She is dedicated to further strengthening design and delivery capabilities — promoting open dialogue between all stakeholders to facilitate desired project outcomes.
Mark Healey - Director, Bates Smart
Mark Healey is a Director of Bates Smart, working across a range of sectors. Some projects of note include the Embassy of Australia in Washington D.C, The Gandel Wing at Cabrini Malvern, The Royal Childrens Hospital and Bendigo Hospital and he is currently working on the new Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Frankston Hospital.
