7th Optimising Health Environments (OHE) Forum
This is a FREE forum that will bring together individuals from a range of backgrounds with an interest in health environments to share knowledge and build collaborative links. These forums focus on new ideas, thinking to the future, and group discussions.
This year, the forum will be running as a hybrid in-person/virtual event. All are welcome however, registration is essential.

Wednesday, 21 April 2021
- Hobart/Melbourne/Canberra/Sydney/Brisbane. 1:00pm – 5:00pm
- Adelaide/Darwin 12.30pm – 4.30pm
- Perth 11.00am – 3.00pm
NOTE: If you are attending one of the in-person hubs, you are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior for registration and sign-in.
FORMAT
All speakers will be streamed live to all in-person and virtual hubs. Discussions will be hosted locally within the hubs or in an online forum, with our facilitators helping to share content between the in-person and virtual hubs. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, catering will not be provided at the event, but all attendees at the in-person hubs are invited to join us for a local dinner after the forum.
IN-PERSON HUBS
Two in-person hubs are currently planned: one in Adelaide and one in Melbourne. If you’re interested in running an additional in-person hub in your city, all you'll need is a large screen, a computer with videoconferencing abilities, and a big enough room to observe local social distancing requirements. If you think this might be of interest, please email novellredesign@florey.edu.au and they will be in touch to set you up with everything you need.

The number of attendees at the in-person hubs will be capped to ensure that social distancing is maintained. If you register to attend an in-person hub, please let advise ASAP if you can no longer attend or if you need to switch to virtual attendance so that your place at the in-person hub can be offered to another attendee.
VIRTUAL HUB
A zoom link will be forwarded closer to the date to all attendees who register to attend the virtual hub.
PROGRAM
A preliminary program is attached, and the full program and speaker details will be circulated closer to the date.
As in previous years, the forum will include a rapid-fire research session for PhD students, early career researchers, and anyone who wants to provide a quick update on their research project. If you would like to present in the rapid-fire session, please email a presentation title, and a 3-4 sentence summary of what you would like to present to novellredesign@florey.edu.au. To fit as many presentations as possible all presentations in the rapid-fire session are to be pre-recorded, but the Q&A and discussion will take place live.
